Leadership

 Rod Bergl - President/CEO Rod Bergl - President/CEO

Rod started his career as an architect, spending several years working on the design of Central Milton Keynes, the business center of a new city in England.  He emigrated to the US in the 80’s, working for two major architectural firms (SOM and DMJM) on commercial and residential applications and also researching the early use of computer aided design systems for architectural and engineering applications.  He then cofounded Coffman Technologies, a consulting firm specializing in the development and application of CAD technology for the utility industry, which became a leader in this field.

He cofounded a manufacturing and distribution company selling furniture and accessories to companies such as Crate and Barrel, Container Store and Target. As Executive Vice President of Finance and Information Systems, he developed an integrated forecasting application which managed the company’s operations from demand forecasting and inventory replenishment to revenue and cash flow forecasting.  In 1995 he used this experience to cofound ICS Business Systems Group (precursor to the Sikich ERP Solutions Group), specializing in the implementation and development of solutions based on Dynamics GP.  During this period he worked on a wide variety of projects including a multi year customization of GP to handle the US steel importing operations of Arcelor Mittal, a global steel mining and manufacturing company and also the development of the first database auditor module for Dynamics GP.

In 2007 he merged ICS with Alba Spectrum where he is currently CEO with overall responsibility for application design and customer satisfaction.  He has guided customization projects ranging from $5,000 to over $1 million and the development of Alba’s financial and distribution applications for Dynamics GP including the first workflow system designed to work with GP.  During this period Alba has grown to become the leading developer of customized solutions for Dynamics GP.

Rod retains his interest in architecture and continues to use the design skills developed during his architectural career to assist Alba’s clients in the analysis, visualization and development of ERP applications.

 

 Jim High - Chief Operating Officer

Jim began working with ERP (Dynamics GP) and CRM (Siebel) systems for a large reseller in 2001, rapidly becoming their lead resource for performing product installations, upgrades, reporting and database tuning.  He was an early adopter of Microsoft CRM, starting with version 1.2, and has continued working with Dynamics GP and CRM through their current versions. 

After several  years on the technical track, Jim went on to become a Project Manager and supervised dozens of ERP and CRM implementations for midmarket and enterprise clients with budgets ranging from several thousand dollars to over a million.  His projects covered many industries for private and public companies. 

In 2010, Jim built and led a team to design and develop a major Dynamics CRM application for faith-based organizations.  The product included an iOS child check-in and security app, a web portal for donations and volunteering, and check scanning software, and was available on premise and as a SaaS application on Azure.  It was adopted by many churches throughout the U.S. and Canada including some of the largest in the world. 

Jim recently spent 4 years as Chief Operating Officer for a Microsoft Gold Certified ERP partner in the southeast.  Under his leadership, the partner became the #1 reseller of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Business edition in the country, with the result that he was invited by Microsoft to participate in a five person partner advisory standing committee for Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Jim joined Alba Spectrum in 2017 as Chief Operating Officer, leading our efforts  to enhance our support to existing customers and bring new technologies and products to the market.

 Luanne McPherson - Sales Manager 

Luanne McPherson, Sales Manager focuses on assisting the Dynamics GP Partner Channel and Dynamics GP end users in solving their challenges when they require additional features and functionality, integration to external applications, better sales and distribution management or custom workflow applications.

Luanne has been in the Microsoft Dynamics channel for 14 years, specializing in Dynamics GP. She has held senior positions in sales management and systems analysis, with experience in financial, manufacturing, import/export, consumer electronics and WMS/Distribution applications.  She is Microsoft ERP- Sales and Microsoft ERP- Presales Certified and is also a Certified Business Systems Analyst- International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and Project Management Institute (PMI).  Luanne was a GPUG All Star Nominee in both 2014 and 2015.
