This visible red laser diode fault locator is specially designed for finding faults in fiber jumpers, patch panels, enclosures, connectors and couplers. It is an ideal tool for use in optical network installation and maintenance.
The handheld laser source fault locator, model 811, distinguishes the faults of fiber jumper, jumper board, distribution frames and tie-ins and overcomes the usual limitation of the dead zone of an OTDR to accurately detects fiber fault positions. It uses visible light to indicate the location of faults from a macro bend point, break, problem coupler or connector or a mechanical splice that is not well aligned.
