Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Asset Tracking (www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) now carries the Alien 9650 UHF Gen 2 RFID reader/writer supporting EPC Gen 2 and ISO 18000-6C tag protocols, Alien reader protocol and LAN protocols including DHCP, TCP/IP and NTP. It has Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability allowing power to be delivered over properly-equipped local area networks. A standard AC/DC power converter is also provided in case PoE is not available. The portable RFID reader/writer is an ideal solution for inventory management in the supply chain, logistics and shop floors. It operates over the frequency range of 902.75MHz to 927.25MHz.
This UHF Gen 2 RFID reader/writer, model 216003, includes a high-performance, circularly polarized antenna, which ensures a simple, affordable and low profile RFID installation. It is finished with a port for a second external antenna connection making it suitable for both single and dual antenna applications. The rugged read/write unit provides a well-documented SDK with NET and Java libraries which enables easy development of custom interfaces to control the reader. It has two inputs, two outputs and offers LED indicators for power, LAN link, RF-on and fault. Moreover, the reader is also shipped with handy Alien RFID Gateway software that allows the user to develop solutions quickly and conveniently.
