From our Michigan office in St. Joseph we made small research to discover that older version of Great Plains, such as Great Plains Accounting for DOS is more immune to the computer technology innovations, comparing to no longer supported Great Plains Select on Pervasive SQL Server 2000. One of our good GPA for DOS customers is engaged in Fireworks industry in North Western Indiana, close to the border of the state of Illinois and Chicagoland. For the Great Plains customers, who are still on Great Plains Accounting for DOS, we recommend to consider the limitations. GPA is not compatible with such operating systems as Windows 7. Vista or XP, if you are on 64 bit version. If you are comfortable to stick to Windows 32 bit edition, you should be OK for the next few years
