Handheld SDH/PDH Transmission Analyzer
Perry Keller
Toronto, Canada - GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) recommends its handheld SDH/PDH transmission analyzer which conducts bit error rate (BER) testing. This analyzer features flexible software-defined simulated LED indicators for current and saved alarm status indication. Its compact architecture and high reliability make this transmission analyzer an ideal tool for the installation and troubleshooting of E1, DS3, STM-1/OC-3, STM-4/OC-12 and STM-16/OC-48 lines.
This portable transmission analyzer, model A0300026, incorporates multiple functions such as performance analysis, anomaly/defect analysis, overhead analysis, pointer analysis, automatic tributary scan, automatic protection switching (APS), round trip delay measurement and E1 pulse mask analysis. It offers a memory capacity of 128M to store test results and conforms to G.821, G.826, G.828, G.829, ZM.2100 and M.2101 international standards. While conducting anomaly/defect analysis, it inserts an anomaly/defect at the transmit end and receives at the sink end. Records and statistics of received anomalies/defects can be displayed in tabular and graphic modes. Test results can be downloaded to a computer via the USB port. Its firmware is upgradable via USB, RJ45 or RS232 interface. In addition, the analyzer can work continuously for six hours on a single charge.
