Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) recommends this 125kHz RFID reader module, which is designed to be a direct replacement for Magnetic Strip Reader modules to enable existing applications and hardware with RFID capability. EM compatible transponders are available for use with the module.
This LF RFID reader module, model 711001, uses MSR ABA Track 2 as its communication interface. It allows existing installations to retain most of their hardware infrastructure and increase security. The module supports read/write distances of up to 80mm with ISO cards and provides several RFID coding options. It has a built-in antenna and consumes little power.This reader module is encapsulated within an ABS case to withstand industrial environments. A high frequency version of this module is also available.
