The optical multimeter performs absolute and relative power tests, optical loss tests, multi-wavelength precision measurement, loop test and automatic bi-directional tests. It is used in optical telecommunication,CATV and labs and can be customized to meet various requirements.
GAO Tek Inc's integrated optical multimeter, model 801, provides a high contrast backlit display and supports FC,ST and SC adapters.The optical power test range is -45dBm to 25dBm and -70dBm to 3dBm are available as options. This practical multimeter is a combination of a laser source and an optical power meter. The laser source operates at dual wavelengths of 1310nm and 1550nm while the optical power meter module works over wavelengths from 800nm to 1600nm.This complementary combination of modules makes the testing of fiber optics networks convenient as only one test instrument is required -additionally this represents cost savings. Various configurations of light source options and power meter options are available for this meter.
