  T1 Bit Error Rate (BER) Tester

Toronto, Canada – GAO Instruments (www.GAOInstruments.com) has rolled out a portable and rugged T1 bit error rate tester performing error code testing at rates from 50b/s to 2048kb/s. It conducts 2M online monitoring making it an invaluable tool for routine maintenance, repair and operation monitoring of communication devices. This T1 BER tester incorporates a special remote monitoring function ensuring convenient real time monitoring.
GAO Tek Inc.’s T1 BER tester interface support includes G.703, V.24/RS232, V.35, V.36/RS449, X.21, EIA530/530A and RS485/RS422. It boasts such functions as NX64 BER testing, histogram analysis, propagation delay, pulse mask measurement and E1 jitter measurement. The T1 BER tester is able to display received Data/FAS/MFAS words and send framed words including Sa bit. A high impedance monitor, a simulator and a Bridge are selected as the termination. This tester has 256kb RAM memory for results storage and has upgradable software via RS232 interface. In addition, alarm detection and status of LOS, AIS, LOF and RDI are generated.
