  Microsoft RMS to GP integration for customers in Latin America

If you are Retail chain or several small stores and you deploy Microsoft Dynamics GP, formerly known as Great Plains Dynamics, and you are looking for automated integration, which moves Daily Sales from RMS to GP and potentially uploads Purchase Receipts for Great Plains to RMS, synchronizes inter store transfers in both systems, please read this article. We have Solutions (scripts ready for reassembly and deployment with your specific requirements in the logic) for Microsoft RMS to GP integration. The same scripts could be reasonably remapped for other Retail and POS systems: Counterpoint, etc. We would like to share some features on functional and technical sides:

1. Sales Order Processing as recipient in GP. This is the most natural approach, when you are synchronizing inventory items in RMS and Dynamics GP. Great Plains is probably more powerful in Logistics and Warehouse Management and you may decide to make your Corporate ERP system the master one, where all Logistics transactions are originated. In this case, you also do Inventory inter sites transfer in GP or RMS and you track these moves in both GP and RMS

2. Receivable Management module as recipient in GP. This is an alternative, when in Great Plains you would like detail GL distribution, linked back to RMS departments and product lines. These detail GL tracking options are very difficult to implement if you decide to use original GP to RMS integration Dexterity written Add-On to Microsoft Dynamics GP

3. Barcode Label printing. If you do central administration from Great Plains, that should be natural place for assigning your new merchandize barcode numbers and have the new labels printed in Great Plains upon the POP Receipt is complete. You can achieve good results with such traditional tools as Crystal Reports, Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), or even within GP Report Writer. We have options in the codes, where you can incorporate GP Item Number plus Lot or Serial Numbers into the algorithm

4. Retail Store to GP Company Mapping. This might be important question, as you may have one Company in your business operations, or you may exercise something like holding with multiple business entities and one entity may own one or more Retail stores. Our integration allows you to do one-to-one or one-to-many Retail Store(s) to Great Plains companies mapping

5. Multicurrency support. We assume that Retail store normally sells its goods in local country official currency, and if required, you can have multiple currencies in Dynamics GP companies, where you can exercise real multicurrency, where company may have accounts in foreign banks in Euro, British Pounds, Yens, etc. If you need special scenario, it should be reasonably flexible to alter existing code or add new logic

6. Integration for non Microsoft RMS platforms. If you are large, mid-size or even smaller retailer and you have Dynamics GP as your Corporate ERP, please check with us on the options we could offer, as we are one of the leaders in Retail integrations to Great Plains

7. RMS, POS to Great Plains integration for International customers. In this scenario we assume that you already have Dynamics GP implemented by your local Great Plains Partner and Reseller, plus Microsoft RMS is also in production, or another platform RMS system, which is open for ODBC, direct SQL connection from Dynamics GP SQL Server. We speak English, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese to be efficient in international integration implementations
