CATHOLIC BISHOPS WARN OF IMMIGRATION MAYHEM J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Catholic bishops have called on countries to awaken to immigration mayhem. But in their call for sanity, Catholic leaders are weak in realizing the Muslim threat.

That is tragic for when religious leaders speak, they should be especially informed concerning other religions. The bottom line regarding Islam is that it is not really a religion but a killing cult. Its book, the Koran, dictates that all non-Muslims be slain throughout the planet. That is not a religion. That is a killing cult.

No other religion in the world espouses that those who disagree with that religion’s tenets be slain. Islam declares just that. Allah demands it. It’s not an option. It is an imperative from the Islamic deity.

Therefore, when Catholic leaders call upon national leaders to wake up to the immigration mess, they should also include waking up to the Muslim threat. Instead, according to their own official pronouncements, Catholic bishops encourage civil citizens to welcome all immigrants regardless. That is a naïve approach to the immigration mayhem.

On the one hand the Catholic bishops call for something to be done seriously about the immigration overflow. On the other hand, they state that we citizens already located legally should welcome immigrants with open arms, including those who could turn on us to kill us.

That is confusion. That is not reality. That is a Catholic directive that needs fixing.

According to the Catholic News Agency, “The bishops of southern Spain have released a statement calling the phenomenon of immigration ‘unstoppable’ and warning that it is a ‘vital issue’ not only for poor countries but also for richer countries,’ and therefore they called for the international community to become involved in the matter.

“’The immigration phenomenon is unstoppable and cannot be ignored. It is a vital issue for all, including the richest countries, and the EU, the United Nations and those international organizations devoted to promoting justice, liberty and peace should get involved,’ the bishops said during their gathering at Cordoba.

“The bishops called on Catholics to strive for a greater understanding of the reality of our times, as well as to open themselves up to welcoming and living peacefully and respectfully with those brothers and sisters of ours who join our society.’”

Yet we can’t have it both ways. If we naively welcome all as “’brother and sisters,’” we may discover that not all illegals consider themselves our brothers and sisters.

They may consider us stupid, ready for the take over. It one thing to be loving; it is another thing to be loving and wise.

Jesus told His own to be as loving as the doves and as wise as the snakes. A lot of wisdom is needed at this time in history in dealing with the “’unstoppable’” immigration problem.
