FINALLY. . .US HOMELAND SECTY RETURNS ILLEGALS J. Grant Swank, Jr.

Americans bound to law and morality have been incensed by this government tolerating, in fact inviting, persons to break our laws by coming into America, staying here and not going through the legal process.

Today we are in a U-turn. And it’s a government official who turns the wheels.

Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff informed media that “his department aims without exception to expel all those who enter the United States illegally,” according to AFP.

Heartfelt cries for just this measure have been forthcoming over months, yes years, by US citizens who are in a total frenzy regarding illegals setting up camp in America with practically no one taking legal notice. Instead, they are seemingly welcomed with open arms, informed that their illegal status is not going to matter, and then given the welcome mat for a lifetime of breathing American breezes.

How many Americans have seriously asked the question: “How can this go on under our noses? How can this take place with little being done to stop it?”

We put in place Operation Iraqi Freedom but can’t free up law-abiding Americans from illegals taking over our nation. We go to the moon but we can’t go to the borders to stop illegals.

"’It should be possible to achieve significant and measurable progress to this end in less than a year,’ Chertoff told a Senate hearing.”

Chertoff faced reality by stating that “parts of the system have nearly collapsed under the weight of numbers. . .(The US government will reengineer) “’our detention and removal process,’” he said.

With that, Americans should expect “’every illegal entrant, no exceptions’” being returned.
