Miracle On a cold and wet Friday morning, my employee and I saw what looked like an opossum wiggling on the ground next to the road in front of a church where we were installing electrical service. He asked me if I could run over it was clear that the animal was in pain and bleeding badly on top of its head.

Upon taking a closer look, I noticed that what we first believed to be an opossum, was in fact a puppy. It was wet, cold whimpering, and appeared to be diseased with mange. One of his paws looked like it was fractured and it could not stand on its own. The animal was in bad shape.

My first thought was to put it out of its suffering. My employee suggested putting the exhaust from his van on the puppy so it would fall asleep. Emotionally and physically, I prepared myself to separate the canine from its misery. Then, a thought hit me, "Who are we to say what will live or die?" I told my employee that God is able to let this animal rise, if He wants to.

Well, to make a long story short, and still give God the Glory, this puppy did rise! Within a few hours, she was eating, drinking and standing on her own. I took her home for a testimony to let folks know that God is still doing Miracles. Her name was Katrina, until I told my wife Frances the story. She quickly changed her name to Miracle without even seeing the dog. In fact, my wife is not really an animal lover at all, but she offered our home for her to live, for I had her in the barn at our ranch. Even though Miracle is the ugliest puppy I have ever seen, I have grown attached to her for what God has done in her life.
