In this romantic comedy, the daughter (Katie Holmes) of the U.S. President persuades her father to let her attend college without any Secret Service protection. When he has second thoughts and sends an agent undercover as a fellow student, things get complicated when the two begin to fall in love.

The Review
"First Daughter" was a light comedy that was slow and very predictable. Katie Holmes was beautiful in every scene and there were many close-up shots of her face.

I thought this movie should have been a Sunday night TV movie and not good enough to pay to see in the theatre. They tried to make the movie interesting, but failed since there wasn't much of a story. It can't possibly be that bad being the daughter of the President of the United States! My friend Sarah agreed.

I think you would be better off waiting to watch "First Daughter" with your teenage daughter and her girlfriends after it comes out on video.
