Brazil: SAP BO Implementation, Integration, Consolidation, Customization, Software Development, Reporting, Data Conversion & Migration – the first year of localized mid-size business ERP

According to Alba Spectrum spokesman Andrew Karasev, SAP Business One is especially good fit for multinational corporations, coming or already having subsidiaries in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro or other Brazilian business metros, as well as in remote regions of the country. 

• MRP Localization.  Multinational Companies have to select so-called “localized” ERP from one of the recognized ERP brands: SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics to name three.  Localization means not only Portuguese language support and easy switch to English, German, French, Spanish or another language used in the worldwide headquarters, but also and mainly compliance to Brazilian Federal, State and Municipal taxation and reporting
• Localized ERP for Small Operations.  Another attractive feature of SAP BO is the ability to automate relatively small operations.  It is common, when corporation, penetrating foreign market would like to probe it for some period of time, couple of years, for example.  During this probation period it needs some light ERP, which could be quickly scaled up to support real operations in the short future.  There are multiple point of views, however it is reasonably to say – existing localized solutions from Microsoft: Axapta, Navision, from Oracle: Oracle EBusiness Suite and SAP mySAP or SAP All-in-One are probably too expensive and have longer implementation cycle, versus SAP Business One
• Heterogeneous Cross-Platform ERP Integration & Consolidation.  SAP Business One has native (coming from SAP) integration with mySAP, so if you are on SAP platform in Europe – your natural choice for Brazil is SAP BO.  However, even if you are on Microsoft Dynamics (GP NAV AX) you should consider SAP BO as initial ERP for Brazilian operations.  One of our clients – multinational company has Microsoft Dynamics GP Great Plains in US and use SAP BO data export and MS Dynamics GP Integration Manager to consolidate Brazilian subsidiary.  FRx does consolidating financial reporting
