- GP Dexterity. This IDE and sanscript scripting
language were initially developed and designed in earlier 1990th,
where the Dexterity shell was written in C programming language to enable OS
and computer graphical platform independence. Modern Dexterity supports com
objects, is complaint to MS Visual Studio source code control, but it still
requires you, if you plan to become GP programmer, understand GP business
logic and be familiar with Great Plains tables structure and architecture
- eConnect. This tools is great help if you are
responsible for e-commerce website integration with Microsoft Dynamics GP. eConnect
is the collection of encrypted SQL stored procedures, which in turn
replicate Microsoft Dexterity business logic. From the perspective of
e-commerce developer, however eConnect lacks very important GP SOP batch
posting capability, which is fixed and supported in Alba Spectrum GP batch
autoposting server
- GP Integration Manager. This is great integrating
tool, IM is rewritten in eConnect and this enables real time integrating
performance, versus the old way of integration, where IM used GP workstation
as OLE server to validate business logic
