Microsoft Dynamics AX, former name Axapta is one of the newest Microsoft Business Solutions ERP, when Microsoft bought Navision Software, Denmark based software development company – it got two systems: Navision and Axapta. Navision had long term presence in Europe, USA and Worldwide, and Axapta was newly designed MRP product. Besides Navision and Axapta MBS has Microsoft Dynamics GP / Great Plains, Solomon (Microsoft Dynamics SL) and Microsoft CRM / Dynamics CRM. While in the US and continental Europe Microsoft has to deal with large number of ‘legacy’ clients: both Great Plains and Navision – in the ‘emerging’ markets, such as Russia or Brazil – Microsoft is willing to place Navision and Axapta as preferred products – both are localized from the fiscal, reporting and language standpoints. To give you some feeling on Axapta screens, in this small article we will show you GL screenshots.
Chart of Accounts. Here we would like to mention on the typical screen navigation – Overview tab usually has scrolling window, where you can select the account you need and all the tabs to the right: General, Setup, etc. will show you details on the account selected.
