Synergy of Business and Technology

   

Beverage Industry. This multinational company with headquarters in Chicago, IL sells Tampico beverages in USA, Latin America and Worldwide.  It has Microsoft Dynaimics GP in headquarters.  Tampico purchased production facility in Manaus, Brazil.  Microsoft Great Plains is not supported in Brazil.  We recommended SAP Business One with GL transactions consolidation to GP 

  • SAP Business One.  This ERP allows Tampico conduct business and accurately accrue and pay all related taxes in Brazil plus prepare and submit required Brazilian federal, state and local reports.
  • Bill of Materials. Microsoft Dynamics GP bill of materials automates production in USA.  No need in complex manufacturing.  BOM allows you to create final product from cascaded subassemblies
  • Marketing Reporting.  Having limited number of product, which are sold through exclusive regional distributors, comprehensive segment reporting is a must.  Historically reporting was realized in Crystal Reports.  Nowadays, considering GP transitioning to Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services - we would recommend this tool

Conclusion:  SAP Business One and Microsoft Dynamics GP tandem does wonderful job in international business environment.

   

Service Industry. Our company provides consulting services worldwide and we deploy consulting and development resources from multiple locations.  This places the need to have web-based time-log and automatic billing system.  Microsoft CRM is the tool of choice for us, plus we are commited to SAP Business One ERP, implemented in our Sao Paulo call center and administrative facility:

  • Projects. Microsoft CRM contracts with Contract lines budgeting is the core of our project tracking system.  Microsoft CRM case allows our consultants to log time toward daily tasks.  These cases are then closed by our project managers and when case is closed timelog is moved to SAP Business One ERP by automatic integration, realized in SQL Stored procedures and SAP B1 SDK.
  • Billing. SAP Business One - Sales Module: Sales Orders and Invoices.
  • Integration.  Some challenge was in the need to log consulting time to multiple companies, installed on separate SAP Business One SQL Servers.  Integration setup defines each company SQL Server and then integration makes a loop by company and company specific transactions

Conclusion:  SAP Business One and Microsoft CRM integration can succesfully automate servicing company.
