Creating and running your own newsletter/ezine is a great way to generate affiliate traffic for the program you are promoting.
The first step is to find a good autoresponder script that can automate your newsletter. A great place to look for a script like this is on HotScripts.com. There are a ton of free scripts that you can download and install into your website. With an autoresponder script you can input all your future emails to subscribers and date them out. This makes the entire process totally automated so you can focus your time and energy on actually getting subscribers.
Once you have your autoresponder set up and ready to go. You need to convince people to sign up for your newsletter. Depending on the product you are promoting as an affiliate, you will want to find a free ebook or report that you can offer your subscribers. Contact the owner of the affiliate program you are promoting and ask them if they have anything that you can use.

Once they have subscribed and validated their email, the first email you send them should be the free gift.
