What I suggest is that you take this rule one step further. What I think works best is combining as many of the strategies together, as possible. Now, what I would suggest next, if you don't already have it, is your own ezine (online magazine, operated by an e-mail autoresponder).
You get visitors to subscribe to your ezine, using a pop-up or another type of FREE subscription form on your web site. Now, you add them to your autoresponder list, which is how you send them your weekly ezine. The ezine offers great information but also promotes your business.
