POKER PLAYERS ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES
Players Invited to Visit Information Booth at World Series of Poker in Las Vegas
Chatsworth, Calif., July 8, 2005 — For the first time, poker players around the world have an organization to call their own. The Universal Poker Players Association (UPPA) is inviting all players — beginner, professional, and everyone in between — to join its exclusive membership roster. UPPA will host a vendor’s booth at the 2005 World Series of Poker, held at Harrah’s Rio Casino (July 6 thru 9) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With over 50 million poker players in the United States alone, the Universal Poker Players Association provides its members with an opportunity to connect with fellow players worldwide and take advantage of its services and products. The Association’s website, www.universalpokerplayers.com, features a player nickname registry, instructional materials, discounts on poker products and events, worldwide event schedules, discussion forums, and a gift shop offering the best in poker merchandise.
“The Universal Poker Players Association welcomes everyone who loves the game of poker,” says CEO Gene Kent, who has played a weekly game with friends for over 40 years. “Professional players are receiving lots of exposure on television and in the print media, which inspires new players to try their hand. The UPPA invites all of them, from beginner to pro, to join our community.”
For an annual membership of $24.95, poker players receive a personalized nickname membership card and full access to UPPA’s extensive library of services. Members can also take advantage of ongoing special offers. Joining an on-line poker game through the UPPA website can net members an immediate cash deposit to their account, “so their membership will practically pay for itself,” notes Kent. UPPA also offers discounts for group memberships and referrals.
The Universal Poker Players Association (UPPA) prides itself on being the world’s finest international organization for poker players. UPPA is focused on providing its members with a unique community through its website, www.universalpokerplayers.com, a toll-free number, and unique UPPA-sponsored poker events.
