End of Red Light Cameras – Maker of PhotoBlocker Applauds Decision WSHINGTON, D.C. — The maker of PhotoBlocker today gave a pat on the back to Virginia Beach and state officials who plan to remove red light cameras on July 1.

“We tip our hats to the officials of Virginia Beach, as well as the Virginia legislature who have decided to put an end to the red light camera program,” said Joe Scott of PhantomPlate, Inc., the maker of PhotoBlocker (tm). “Unfortunately there are still over 100 other cities around the country that still use red light or speed cameras, or both.”

The legislature did not renew the state law which enabled cities to use the cameras. Virginia Beach officials therefor decided to end the use of the controversial devices when the law expires on July 1.

The results of a number of reports published in the press showed that red light cameras could actually cause accidents as motorists slam on their breaks at the intersections where they see a camera. Another recent report showed that lengthening the time of the yellow light reduces accidents by 40 percent.

Numerous law suits and other court action have resulted in motorists receiving refunds of fines because of faulty cameras, according to published reports.

“Perhaps other cities will learn from Virginia Beach and the Virginia legislature that the myth that red light cameras reduce accidents is just simply that, a myth,” said Scott. “We hope other cities also drop the use of these cameras, but until they do innocent drivers who want to protect themselves from faulty cameras that send out tickets in error will benefit from PhotoBlocker (tm).”

PhotoBlocker (tm) is a simple aerosol spray that when applied to a license plate does not in any way alter the appearance of the plate to the naked eye, but the flash picture from a red-light camera or speed camera makes the number on the plate unreadable.

“Drivers are tired of getting tickets they do not deserve. The cost in time and money to defend themselves is excessive, so they would rather use our spray to save money by preventing the unjust tickets. We want our roads to be safe, and we do not encourage anyone to break the law. But we know how frustrating it is to get a ticket you do not deserve,” explained Scott.

The demand for cans of PhotoBlocker (tm) spray grows steadily every month, with sales of over 300,000 cans protecting over 1 million vehicles on six continents.

“We get calls, e-mails and letters from many professionals who are very happy with the effectiveness of PhotoBlocker spray. Journalists, doctors, lawyers, firefighters, teachers, and judges themselves have resorted to using PhotoBlocker spray to avoid entrapment,” said Scott.

The company’s web site at http://www.PhotoBlocker.com provides full details about the product and the need for affiliates to help get it to more consumers.
